Come to the country. Bring a fresh perspective into your life, business group or community organization gathering. Treat yourselves to something different and fun! Be inspired.
Small groups of four to ten may enjoy a one-day country getaway without spending the night. A day gathering at First Farm Inn is the perfect breath of fresh air needed for small business units, managers’ gatherings, girlfriends’ getaways, mother and daughters reunions, church study groups, Red Hat Ladies adventures, artists’ painting groups, or retirees card parties.
A gathering around the dinning room table enjoying an all-you-can-eat brunch of fresh, homemade food can conclude with a return to meetings, a horseback riding session or visiting on the porch or around the fireplace. Break again for desserts that you’ll smell as they bake fresh for you.
Call to be surprised at the reasonable rates. You won’t want to go back to a dreary “meeting room” again. Right off I-275 and the Petersburg Exit, driving directions are easy. Only 20 minutes from downtown on the low-traffic side of the city.
Looking for a creative location for your holiday reception? Smell the fresh-cut pine boughs from our own pine forest as you walk into First Farm Inn to meet your 6-30 friends or co-workers.
Our holiday lights twinkle on at dusk, adding to the atmosphere surrounding your finger-food buffet. Gather around the grand piano for a carol-sing or enjoy the talents of your friends as they play.
Call to check rates and dates.
Have a pleasant brunch, then an easy and low-key orientation to horses with a riding lesson in the arena. See our horses page for more information

Dr. Karen Gail Lewis, a therapist specializing in the needs of single women, has created Unique Retreats for Women, innovative workshops which provide women with the keys to overcoming obstacles, claritity about their live choices and, fun, fun, learning about yourself, and more fun!
These weekend getaways to unusual or luxury settings offer women an opportunity to explore personal, family, work and life challenges. Groups, limited to eight women, include at least 15 hours of in-depth group discussions and provocative individual exercises, with built-in free time to clear the mind so they can listen more attentively to their inner voices. Each retreat focuses on a particular theme, such as women in transition, single women, and adult siblings.
